Let Love Speak: Division, Dialogue, and the Demonization of Difference
February 28, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
FreeAs a “spirit of division” permeates the church, leaders must replace the “demonization of difference” with a spirit of love, humility, and unity. Come hear how pastors and specialists alike have effectively employed the “gift of dialogue” to “keep the peace” and bring healing to communities in crisis.
Guest Speakers:
- Rev. Joyce Scherer-Hoock (MDiv ’80) is the Rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Ayer, MA. She has been an Episcopal priest for 34 years, during which time she has had to navigate some of the most contentious issues of our day.
- Bob has trained over 30,000 professionals in communication and dialogue facilitation skills. He has been a consultant to Boston University, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Divinity School’s program on Religions and the Practice of Peace.
This event will take place in-person in the Alumni Hall of the Hamilton campus, and it will stream on Facebook.
