UB Meetup: Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove & Taize Prayer

September 23, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join with Christians throughout Boston for our fall UB Meetup! We will attending the public event of dinner and conversation with Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove. In 2003, Jonathan and his wife Leah founded the Rutba House, a house of hospitality where the formerly homeless are welcomed into community with the formerly housed to eat, pray, and share life together.

Today, from cable news to Twitter feeds, we are bombarded by reminders of how divided we are as a nation. Compelled to choose sides in dozens of disagreements each day, people feel both more connected and more isolated at the same time. Where can we go to know one another across our divisions?

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove shares an ancient vision for Christian community through stories about surprising friendships and beloved community in 21st century America.  The conversation will be followed by contemplative Taizé prayer in the MIT chapel, which is a type of prayer that is very accessible for Christians of all backgrounds. This is a free event – Please come, and invite friends! Email kelly@uniteboston.com with any questions or concerns.
