Strengthening Christian leaders to serve urban communities is the heart of Emmanuel Gospel Center’s mission. During the past few months, Dorchester, Mattapan, and other communities of color have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, and urban Christian leaders continue to be at the center of responding. The recent murder of George Floyd and other Black brothers and sisters, and the protests following their deaths, have brought into sharp focus the need for racial justice and community action. This year, EGC’s silent auction is supporting three ministry partners doing this important work: Agencia ALPHA, The Black Ministerial Alliance, and The Massachusetts Council of Churches.
